• Design: early in the design process, our artisans determined that in order to build a beautiful copper sink, able to withstand the punishment of today's modern kitchen, each sink should be constructed using heavy, 14-gauge copper. Drawing on classic designs used for centuries combined with modern finishing techniques, our artisans selected a hammered finish to create an exquisite and durable undermount copper farmhouse kitchen sink.
• Production: using extra-thick 14-gauge copper, each sink is t.I.G. Welded using pure copper to ensure proper fusion/sealing at the corners and seams. Once formed, each sink is hand-hammered, to create an elegant, exquisite finish. Since copper is a malleable metal, the hammering process creates a stronger and more durable surface, hiding any nicks or scratches that can occur with any heavily used sink.
• Materials: thick 14-gauge copper alloy made from 99% pure copper and 1% zinc (for strength and integrity)
• Finish: elegant authentic patina (no stains used), dark antique color, hand-hammered
