Knife set is NOT shipped in the black metal box. It is in a cardboard box that is not even labeled as steak knives. Each knife is in a plastic sleeve. I wanted to give this as a gift and felt the nice storage box was a great way to store the knives and makes a nice presentation. DON"T expect the box if you order this knife set.
