The coolest hood. It looks like it floats because it sits out from the wall about 6 inches. It was a little difficult to install but I love the result. We did an exhaust exit on the back wall. See pics

I really love his hood! We are currently in the throes of remodeling our kitchen. Our kitchen ceilings are not very high, especially the wall where the stove was being moved to. There is a soffit around the perimeter of our kitchen where the air duct work is that we were leaving alone. I had the hardest time finding wall mount range hoods that had enough CFM's, didn't break the budget and also fit within our low ceiling height restrictions. I also wanted a direct vent. This particular hood was more than I had planned to spend but I'm glad I did. It's a beautiful hood! It looks like it's floating on the wall, especially since we vented directly out the back through the wall. Before I purchased, I downloaded the spec brochure and manual and even reached out to Faber directly back east. The woman who answered the phone was most helpful and went to the showroom floor to snap photos of the hood on display and take pictures of how the back vented through the wall and how much space there was between the hood itself and the wall. I wanted to know if the decorative duct housing could be recessed more into the wall to have the hood fit up tighter on the wall itself, and she didn't see why not. The hood was delivered earlier than I expected from Wayfair and in good condition. My contractor said it went in pretty easily compared to another range hood he'd installed, previously. I love how this hood looks from the underneath, like a spaceship and even more so when you turn on the light! This seems to be a very smart hood, too, as it will let you know after a certain number of use hours when to clean the filters. The different speeds of the fan work well and are what you would expect, noise-level wise. We have no complaints. The only complaint I do have, is the LED light is a cool color which I do not care for. Everything looks "dead" in the light and unfortunately, the way the LED light is installed, its in this rectangular plastic panel and requires replacement by a Faber tech. I do have a call into the helpful rep at Faber asking if there is a warm white option for the LED panel and I'm hopeful there is. I am having a beautiful iridescent glass tile backsplash installed and that current LED panel light completely sucks any sparkle and life out of the tiles as it currently is. Still, though, I'm very pleased with this hood and have so far only needed to use the exhaust fan on the lowest setting. Everyone whose seen this hood loves it, we've gotten lots of compliments, especially from the various contractors who are doing work on our house. They've not seen anything like this (the floating style) and they should know, they've been in a lot of homes in this area, many of which are very, very expensive. I'm pretty sure this is Italian in design and it shows, plus, the instruction manual is impressive in its level of explanation and detail. That was the first thing that told me this would a worthwhile purchase. So far, very, very pleased!

looks great! there is a vibrating sound trying to figure out. and the mount screws were too small for the holes so had to grind them down to hang/fit.
