I love this stock pot. The proportions of the base to sides is terrific. Deep enough to do many things - larges batches of pasta, a crab boil, full ears of corn or a whole mess of stock. This pot comes in handy. The two large loop handles are easy to grasp - even with oven mitts. The 5-ply construction: 2 layer of stainless steel and 3 layers of aluminum ensure the pan heats quickly and consistently. It is also responsive to all cooktops: heating and cooling at your command. The handles stay cool while on the stove and exterior treatment keeps the pans looking like new. One comment: if you like the way pans look when they are new, hand wash. They will keep that shiny quality. But these are definitely dishwasher safe.

Safe to use with metal utensils and dishwasher safe. Handwashing it recommended specially for a large pot like this one. A Bar Keeper's friend stainless steel cream cleanser is a really good must-have to keep your cookware in pristine condition and helps remove food residue.
