This 5.5qt sauté pan is amazing. It is very heavy and durable. It heats up evenly and maintains the heat throughout the cooking process. As long as you preheat the pan to the proper level and add oil or butter food does not stick. After years of using nonstick pans and failing to properly sear, I am finally able to sear food properly with ease. Clean up is also easy. Any stuck on food is easily scrubbed off with soapy water and rough side of a sponge.

I like this series. I also have the 8 and 10 inch frypan, and I wish there were more that were available to purchase individually. I'm somewhat disappointed that a non-stick is offered in the set, but since the cost per unit isn't too bad its not that big of a deal. I prefer Cuisinarts less expensive options when it comes to non stick
