Let me make clear: the one star has nothing to do with the quality of this tea kettle. It arrived February 20 and I haven't been able to use it. The problem is Wayfair. The tea kettle arrived damaged--right out of the box. I was disappointed. I owned a Chantal Whistling Tea Kettle for over 20 years and loved it, so I was very excited to get a new one in a new color. Instead, I got this damaged model. I immediately set about to get an exchange. This was a hassle. It required a lengthy on-line chat session with a representative who ultimately assured me that Wayfair would send me a new teakettle and I would have 30 days to return the damaged one for no charge. Didn't happen. Instead, I got an email from Wayfair instructing me to send a photo of each box it came in (there were two), a photo of each side of the teakettle AND a video AND each photo and video had to have the order number displayed in it. Seriously? Yes, seriously. I just spent the better part of my evening making my order-number sign, taking nine photos, creating a video, and uploading it all. Will I ever get a replacement teakettle? Who knows? Will it arrive undamaged? Who knows? Will I buy from Wayfair again? I don't know. I like Wayfair, but I don't want to risk having to go through this again with another purchase. All I want it is the beautiful, but undamaged, Chantal Tea Kettle that I ordered. Edited 3/29/25: Wayfair eventually came through with the exchange. It was far more of a hassle than it should have been. I've changed the stars from 1 to 3 because the tea kettle didn't live up to its promise. It looks great, but the nozzle doesn't fit snugly on the spout, so it doesn't produce the two-tone whistle that a Chantal Whistling Tea Kettle is supposed to produce. It worked beautifully on my old one. But I'm not going to try to exchange it because I don't want to got through that hassle again.
