This kettle replaced my first Chantal classic kettle, which I loved dearly. The whistle is not as distinctive, which was disappointing, but it was a good kettle until I boiled it dry! Oops!

I will be returning this. The spout does not fully open without manually opening, a very unsafe thing to do given the steam! It opens at about 1/3 capacity and causes the hot water to sprue out beyond the cup. Peri gold was a pleasure to work through this.

It's a quality piece and heats water fast. However, it is a little on the heavy side compared to our old one.

Gorgeous red kettle! It heats water quickly, even in our high altitude. The whistle is fine, but unremarkable. I find them all to be a bit piercing. I was hoping this one would be somewhat more gentle, but it isn’t. Despite that, I 100 recommend this kettle!
