It makes very good coffee, but as many have said, the carafe is poorly designed. I got the stainless carafe and it came with a chip in the lining material right under the spout, where the coffee would come out. Also, there always is coffee remaining in the carafe when you think you have poured it all, so you have to take off the lid part and pour the rest out. This is not a deal breaker for me, but the carafe engineers could have done better. Also, you cannot just buy a new carafe from GE, they don't sell it separately. I went to Partstps dotcom and am hopeful that one I order will come without a lining flaw. I have started putting in 2.5 cups of water and brew 3 cups to ensure the water drains out more completely from the inside unit, and I open the reservoir and brewing area after I am done so moisture does not cause an issue. I like having a choice of either the metal filter or paper filters. Regarding the carafe issue, I was able to get credits on my Wayfair account to help offset the cost of a new carafe It was a GE factory error and Wayfair customer service was very good.

The design and functionality is elegant, but why would you put a black cord on an all white coffee machine? It’s the only small appliance that sits on our white quartz countertop and the cord sticks out like a sore thumb! Coffee maker brews coffee quickly and tastes delicious. We also like the temperature control so we can enjoy a perfect warm cup of coffee without waiting for it to cool down. I would have given it a five star rating had it been better thought out with a white cord design. If you’re not going to change the color then please picture it accurately with the cord, as I don’t see it currently pictured in any of your advertisements.

It’s beautiful and easy to set up! Unfortunately, I could never get it to work. It looks like some of these may be shipped out with issues. Mine kept erroring out and I was ultimate unable to brew any coffee. :( Guess I’ll keep looking for a superb coffee maker!

The machine was fairly simple to set up and use for the first time. I did wash the inserts and the coffee pot before using it. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up too much counter space. LOVE that it has an app that allows you to brew remotely and even schedule auto brewing. As long as you’ve got the coffee grinds and water in the machine, it will brew the desired amount and strength at whatever time you set. My whole household is obsessed with it!

The gold setting is amazing and creates a very smooth cup of coffee. Very excited to continue using this as the weather gets cooler and snuggle up with a nice hot cup of coffee! The temperature and flavor couldn’t be better.
