I purchased this machine less than three years ago, and until a week ago I’ve been very happy with it. The compact size is great for a smaller space, and it is an attractive appliance. The quality of the coffee dispensed has been very satisfactory, and I’ve love the ease of the brewing process. However, it recently began malfunctioning…..specifically, dumping most of the ground coffee before extraction, resulting in weak, watery shots, and a huge mess of coffee grounds collecting behind the waste collection cup. I spent several days attempting to reach a customer service representative, by phone, through the help center on the SmartHQ app ( the machine is internet connected), and through emails. When I finally reached a representative to ask about the process for getting a repair, I was told that GE doesn’t offer repair on these machines….only replacement. As it is no longer under the short warrenty, I will have to purchase a new machine. I think I’ll be looking at a different brand.
