Allow the glass to cool down until the residual heat indicator is off before cleaning. Never use scouring powders or paste, metal scourers, oven cleaners, or any abrasive cleaning products on the hotplate. Clean spillovers before using the cooktop again. For light cleaning, wipe with a soft cloth, warm water, and dishwashing liquid. For a streak-free finish, the polish dries with a microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks and to condition the surface, use a good quality cooktop cleaner/conditioner, following the manufacturer’s instructions. For spillages with high sugar content such as jam, or the accidental melting of plastic or alloy materials, turn off the heating zone and remove the spillage immediately. Use caution because the heating area may be very hot.
