Because this rack is stainless steel, I actually purchased it to set large hot pans and roasters on. You can't put item items directly from the oven on quartz countertops so I am using this rack instead. It does not bend under the weight and when I do put hot rolls or or cookies on it, the food does not stick. I like the grid because cookies don't bend or fold between the rods like they do on some cooling racks without the grid. My only wish is that I could get this in a larger size.
