Ruvati's mixing bowl and platform set takes your workstation sink functionality to a new level. Now you can mix your batter, toss your salad or strain your pasta, all on top of your sink. No more messy countertop; all the mess stays on the sink, and can be easily rinsed off with your faucet sprayer. The platform is designed to fit all Ruvati workstation kitchen sinks including single tier (Roma, Verona and Siena series) as well as dual tier sinks. The solid hardwood platform sits on the ledge of your workstation sink. Unlike bamboo, solid hardwood is a lot more durable in wet conditions, and does not warp or crack. The set includes a mixing bowl and a perforated colander, both of which fit in the platform and can be nested when not in use. The 5-quart size mixing bowl has a silicone non-slip bottom for ease of use and storage. The set includes a BPA-free black plastic lid that fits tightly on both the mixing bowl and the colander, as well as 3 different grater and slicer attachments. All stainless steel parts are made of food-safe, corrosion-proof T-304 grade stainless steel, one of the highest grade steel available for residential use. It’s a substantial piece of furniture. I like the color and I like the dimensions. I wish that it had come in one piece and not had to be put together, but I’m sure it was too big to ship. My only other qualm is the drawers… They’re not soft close and you have to push them in and then give them another hard push to get them to close completely. Ruvati takes kitchen functionality to a whole new level with this 33″ long workstation sink that converts your kitchen sink to a full-fledged workspace. The sink comes with an array of built-in accessories and two-tiered tracks on the front and back for the accessories to slide on. The included cutting board will fit on either top or lower track, so you can slide one on top of the other. The cutting board is flat on one side, but when flipped, convert into a tray with raised edges. When you need more countertop space, the cutting board placed on the top or lower track will cover almost your entire sink. Now you can use all that extra space for food-prep, or for entertaining guests by turning the cutting board over into trays and placing plates, cups or serving dishes on them. The reversible cutting board is constructed of sapele wood (African Mahogany) – a luxurious hardwood that has a beautiful finish and handles water well. Also included with the workstation sink is a wood platform with mixing bowl and colander attachments, deep stainless steel colander, which slides on the lower tier. The foldable drying rack fits on the top track and is ideal as a dish drying rack. It is constructed of stainless steel bars and a flexible silicone frame allowing you to fold it to the right size or roll it up tightly for storage when not in use.
