This stool is cut from a responsibly harvested chamcha tree trunk. Chamcha is an acacia species native to Thailand. We love the visible wood grains, even after we treat them to create this stone-like patina. The freeform line of the trunk remains intact, preserving the natural integrity of this piece. This is what modern organic looks like.

Scandinavian mid-century design aesthetics and Brazilian modernism meet on the new Brasilia lounge chair and corresponding ottoman, designed for Menu by Anderssen and Voll. Originally imagined for the Audo, the luxurious armchair-lounge chair hybrid offers unparalleled sitting comfort thanks to its robust frame and soft upholstery. "The mood directly inspired the design at the Audo. There was something about the setting – wooden sculptures, calm ambiance, and welcoming colors – that made us think of more exotic variations of modernism rather than our own familiar Scandinavian roots," note designers Torbjorn Anderssen and Espen Voll. Made using traditional joinery techniques, the wooden frame is characterized by exaggerated armrests, cylindrical legs at the front, and broad, wooden boards at the back, lending the chair personality and its distinctive look. The cushioning seat and backrest add to the sense of ease. The versatile footrest is a seat for unexpected guests or a resting place for a newspaper or tray.

With sweeping curves and sculptural shapes, the Asian-inspired stool is a true conversation piece. With a white linen cushion, this stool adds a punch of personality to any room. Create a stunning entryway by bunching stools beneath a console, then introduce extra seating when hosting family and friends.

Beautiful cerused oak veneer bench, very sturdy & stylish! However, the white upholstery doesn't do it justice, I will replace with a darker fabric. Total cost is a little pricey, but it's unique design makes a fabulous accent piece for my contemporary living room. I'm very happy with my purchase!. Susan. Hillsboro, OR. Wed Jul 31 2024

A design collaboration by Amber Lewis and Four Hands. Style this accent stool just about anywhere to create an extra surface or seat. Contrast your modern ensemble with this rustic accent stool. Crafted from solid acacia wood, this stool resembles a chopped tree trunk – because it is one! Every stool is as unique as the tree it came from, with natural knots, cracks, and wood grain patterns adding an organic feel to your space. Its drum shape measures 16.5'' high, an ideal height for an ottoman in your office or living room. Plus, it has a weight capacity of 330 lbs., so it doubles as extra seating for guests. Our favorite? It works just as well as an end table next to your low-profile armchair or sofa. Just take it out of the box and place it anywhere.

Beautiful piece. Jordan. Phoenix, AZ. Tue Jul 07 2026

Solidly constructed of naturally finished suar wood with a natural wash finish, this whimsical accent piece acts as an artful stool or pull-up table. Solid wood will continue to move with temperature and humidity changes, which can result in cracks and uneven surfaces, adding to its authenticity and character.
