The statue is gorgeous. It is NOT A SATYR (which has goat horns and legs of a horse). This is likely Bacchus (Roman) or Dionysus (Greek). It is stunning and perfect for my collection of statuary. The delivery was highly problematic, however, which put a dent in my experience.. John. Washington State. Wed Mar 12 2025

He is really lovely. I don’t understand why there is just one photo of him in the listing. He is 3 dimensional and handsome at many angles. My only complaint was the packaging-the box was too short and his ear broke (but easily fixed with epoxy). Meanwhile the same box was so wide that the (shredded wood) packaging is a LOT to get rid of.. Lisa. San Francisco, CA. Mon Sep 18 2023

The traditional, lost wax bronze casting method cast bronze statues by Metropolitan Galleries. This labor-intensive and time-consuming method of casting bronze statues ensures pristine quality and vivid detail. Metropolitan Galleries Inc. offers a large selection of bronze statues and bronze fountains perfect for indoor and outdoor use. This statue features intricate, hand-forged details with a beautiful fire-applied patina. All bronze statuary will develop a natural patina when left in natural elements. The aged patina on bronze is often desired but can be prevented by care and cleaning of the bronze statue by applying beeswax or other polish to prevent a patina from forming.

I have created a unique garden which I call Narnia after the movie. A Pan was a character in the movie. Wish company made more like a Centaur and Minotaur! (Hint!!!) Absolutely love this piece…fantastic detail and life size!. Libby. Berea, OH. Mon Apr 22 2024

The outstretched arms sculpture is made of aluminum on a striated surface that brings one aspect of its design distinction: when the finish is rubbed onto its surface, it collects in the valleys to bring added patina to the gray sculpture. This lends it a textural feel that convinces the eye this is a vintage decorative accessory. In the foyer of a modern home filled with contemporary art, this decorative accessory will hold its own. We offer a number of sculptures in this family of decorative accessories. Each of these reflects the ethos that Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic.

This handcrafted statue is a piece that speaks to the elegance of artisanal design. Perfect for adding character to your outdoor haven, it can be placed amid lush greenery or as a focal point on a patio. The statue comes in several finishes, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your garden's aesthetic.

Absolutely Stunning! And worth the effort. This large and heavy piece arrived in packaging that ensured its protection 100 percent, but was a challenge to unpack. Encased in an expandable styrofoam, it was difficult to discern how to unpack it or which way was up. No instructions were provided on how to access it. I literally had to claw through the material and dig carefully, much like an archeologist would. Once I was able to figure out how it was situated in the material, I was able to remove it. All of this effort left quite the mess. This artwork is gorgeous. Upon unboxing I discovered it was covered in a black soot-like substance, and required washing. I chose this piece for a dramatic Halloween table display and it worked beautifully. After washing, I put felt on the bottom and placed it on a black cloth so not to damage my table or linens. Truly extraordinary. Highly recommend!. Anonymous. Sun Sep 15 2024
