Nice rug but color and details are not exactly as depicted in the photo. The colors are more gray and taupe rather than the cream and brown/tan as shown in the photo. Some of the intricacies around the design elements are also missing. There were some small holes where there there weren’t threads and a few threads that were undone. This rug looks 100 years old, and I mean that in the best way. I have 2 large Persian hand knotted wool rugs and this one is softer than anything I'd imagine that's made of wool. I would describe this as feeling like chenille, very luxurious to walk on and soft. The one thing that I didn't expect was that it is a flat weave rug with a very low pile, it is more like a tapestry. I was disappointed that the rug I received both the first time as well as the replacement weren’t the same as pictured on line. You can see that the colors are completely different.
