Ladles are perfect for serving soup from a big pot into individual bowls. The meat fork is ideal for turning sausages or meatballs in a pan or holding meat and poultry steady for slicing. Slotted spoons are ideal for straining vegetables and perfect for retrieving pasta from the pot of cooking water to test for doneness. The solid spoon is perfect for scooping out simmered carrots, stirring salt into a boiling pot of pasta water, and more. Slotted spatulas are useful for common cooking tasks such as flipping burgers on the grill or pancakes in a cast-iron skillet. The spatula flips burgers and eggs in a pan or on the grill and also works perfectly for stir-frying.
