Not only does this Italian linen plain have an amazingly soft tumbled finish - but it also has incredible performance. The addition of a high-tech bionic water repellent finish ensures that it is soil and oil-repellent - liquids will bead up and roll off its surface. This sophisticated finish is created at the molecular level, therefore allowing the fabric to stay soft and breathable and the colors to look like new. Fifty-eight shades of versatile neutrals, softly shaded hues and vivid brights give the designer a multitude of options for creating beautiful draperies and upholstery that’s made to last.

Taos velvet has a cotton blend ground that has a rich luster and luxurious sheen, reminiscent of fine silk velvet. The velvet's fine slub is woven with thick and thin yarn in the weft direction with a lush rayon pile that lends to traditional, contemporary, or transitional style. This velvet has a high light reflection and touchable soft texture while retaining toughness of 100,000 double rubs using the Wyzenbeek test method. The finishing contains a robust stain and soil repellent making it a high-performance velvet. We love the well-rounded colorway of Taos, with some really gorgeous pastels and rich jewel tones.

Palampores, or tree-of-life patterns, have our origins in India, where the exotic designs were hand-painted and mordant dyed, and exported to Europe and England for use as elaborate bed hangings and curtains. Scalamandré’s timeless tree-of-life print, Pondicherry, is reinterpreted in a palette of hues designed for today’s classic interior and translated on fabric. The grand scale of the exotic tree is softened with finely detailed flowers and foliage and is accented with the small birds and animals that are typical of this historic design. The vertically branching print is perfect for floor-length curtain panels, or as upholstery for roomy club and wing chairs.

One of Scalamandre's most enduring patterns, this luxurious cut velvet is woven in a small allover quatrefoil pattern. Our new interpretation updates this classic velvet in eight new shades, ranging from quiet neutrals to lively brights and chic carbon gray. This new and refined version of the geometric design is woven in a silky viscose pile against a fine cotton ground, adding plushness to upholstery, headboards, and decorative accents.

This versatile linen check provides a touch of a simple, classic pattern. Woven in linen with a slight slub, it has a matte look and an airy feel. Colored in a palette of classic navy, subtle mineral and celadon, natural linen, and a sweet blush, it is the perfect companion to all of the statement patterns in the Norden collection. The light linen hand is best suited for curtains, but it can be used for pillows when backed.

Palampore is the Hindi word for bed hanging and refers to Indian printed textiles created for bed draperies in the eighteenth century. Such bed hangings were highly prized and featured a tree of life design with abundant flowers and pomegranates. Our new interpretation of this classic and graceful pattern is embroidered in colorful threads against a medium weight of linen.

Inspired by a document from an Italian archive, this print of stylized pomegranates, foliage, and flowers is modernized with burnished metallic pigments printed on a refined linen ground. The bold, curvy shapes are drawn at a dramatic scale and interpreted in subtle shades of gold and silver. The elegant all-over design is ideal for curtain panels and patterned accents, such as occasional chairs and decorative cushions.

This new interpretation of the classic buffalo check combines solid and striped yarns warp and weft with the subtle pattern of a fine herringbone weave. Linen gives it a beautiful luster and drape, suitable for both curtains and upholstery uses.
