Isn't porcelain some type of ceramic? I wonder how they turn it into a surface layering for this stove. I think they did a great job. The burners are also pretty solid. Cast iron grate seems hard-wearing. The grates on my old range eventually began to rust, which I doubt would happen to the grates on this one. But, I think it's too black, but that's just me.
