"Oh, Pagoda" is the wonderfully whimsical fixture that is inspired by an antique chandelier that hangs in the 'house of bedlam', which is Madcap Cottage's manse in High Point, North Carolina. Part of the Madcap Cottage for PORT 68 collection, "Oh, Pagoda Chandelier" features 6 arms which include 12 tassels. The chandelier is complete with a 6-foot chain and ceiling cap for easy hanging. Hardwired installation. 6 arm chandelier. 60-watt max chandelier E12 base bulb required. Bulbs are not included.

Madcap Cottage 33" Gold Buffet Lamp Set is inspired by their love of decorative trims and tassels. We were able to capture that spirit with a metal twist candle support and hand-applied gold leaf. The buffet lamps are sold as Set/2 and feature hardback shades in cream linen. Lamps include English black fabric cords for a true decorator touch. Hardback shade with soft rolled edge. Brass spider. Palampores or tree-of-life patterns have origins in India, where the exotic designs were hand-painted and mordant dyed--then exported to Europe and England for use as elaborate bed hangings and curtains. Scalamandre's timeless tree-of-life print, Pondicherry, is offered in rich blues on cream crackled porcelain for today's classic interior. The grand scale of the exotic tree is softened with finely detailed flowers and foliage and is accented with small birds and animals. This is typical of this historic and favored fabric design. Chinese designs came to England and her colonies with the tea trade. In the 1760's Virginia's governor ordered "bamboo chairs" for this Williamsburg "palace". Williamsburg cabinetmaker Edmund Dickinson owned a copy of Chippendales Director, the most fashionable furniture pattern book of the 1750s and 1760s. When he died fighting for the American cause in the Revolution, his Director was worth as much as his "new rifle gun". As part of the WILLIAMSBURG for PORT 68 collection, Bamboo Trellis celebrates Chippendale in bright meadow green-on-cream porcelain. The pattern was inspired by the dining room chairs in the Governor's Palace. The hexagon-shaped lamp features aged brass finished hardware and ball finial.

The Madcap Cottage fabric celebrates their love of all things English, and the range of colors that nature embraces. Each bench frame is made of steel and finished with a hand-applied gold leaf. Each corner of the bench has a grand tassel. (The tassels may be removed simply by unhooking each if you would like to edit this detail.)

Hannah is our modern, yet casual interpretation of a Chinese export pattern that is on a saucer plate made about 1740. The original resides in the Colonial Williamsburg archives. Archaeological fragments decorated with the same aster pattern and bearing similar fluting were excavated at the Geddy House site in Williamsburg, Virginia. The blue asters and cream ground porcelain lamp is part of the Williamsburg collection for Port 68. The graphic blue aster pattern is decorated on the front and back, with cream/white side panels on the shaped lamp body. The lamp is mounted on a black base with aged brass ball feet. The lamp is accented with aged brass hardware and ball finial.
