I purchased a 9 foot, solid cypress, antique door for my powder room and was looking for a knob and plate that wouldn't look too small on such a tall door. I think this size backplate is perfect for a tall door. I'm very pleased with the quality. It's heavy and feels very solid. My only complaint is that I ordered oil-rubbed bronze, expecting there to be some variation in color, but the knob is actually flat black, in my opinion. But, I'm still happy with it!. Rhonda. Absolutely love this door knob. It’s high quality and has a substantial look and feel: my only complaint is that 2 of the screws it came with literally just broke off in the door while screwing them in with a regular hand held screw driver. I have never seen that happen before. Due to not being able to get the body of the screw out without ruin in the door, I had to snip off the head of the broken screw and super glue it into place so that the door didn’t look like it was missing screws..
