I love this fixture. It weighs nothing and is very well designed, so it’s super easy to install and wire-up. The one I got (medium) hangs on two cables, one at the junction box and one offset about 24” in any direction you like. This makes it a great choice if your junction box isn’t exactly centered where you’d like it. The dimming is my favorite part. It dims super smooth with no flicker whatsoever. Here is one word of caution. There is a little slider for adjusting the non-powered cable length where it attaches to the ceiling. From my experience, it only slides in one direction. That means don’t over slide/shorten your cable, because I could not figure out how to pull it back. Maybe it’s just me, but I was stumped, and the little cartoon pamphlet they call an installation guide was no help. I got lucky that I didn’t overshoot my mark. Just giving you a heads-up. The luminaire is dimmable by using an either internally mounted or externally placed 1-10V dimmer switch. 1-10V is a dimming system widely used in some parts of the world, for example in North America. This method will need its wiring. The dimming quality is perfect, without flicker, the range can be limited and the luminaire cannot be dimmed to off. To turn off the luminaire a switch is needed.

Inspired by the Putney lamp, we created a large-scale version. From each direction, its silhouette reveals three stacked rounded forms—a cylinder, a disc, and an elongated tapered coin base. Showcasing angular composition and balance, it has a mid-century feel with an updated take on the style via its cast aluminum. It is topped with an off-white linen shade with off-white cotton lining, and features a clear silver cord and three-way rotary switch. The finish will vary.

Starfall is a classically proportioned five-pointed double star. The veneers are selected to give the best wood grain effects when illuminated and all have been sourced from forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council - FSC. Nothing comes close to the beauty of these veneers as a diffusion material and no other veneer treatment gives the strength and the protection to the material without sacrificing the delicacy and subtleness that this natural material communicates when illuminated. Photographic reproductions of the veneer cannot be taken as a guideline to the actual color. Wood is a natural material, and gradual changes in tone may occur over time. Furthermore, if the lamps have been purchased at different times, there will be differences in color and tone, particularly in the light-colored veneers.
