In our first collaboration, acclaimed interior designers Mara Miller and Jesse Carrier and third-generation art house Soicher Marin present Open Studio, five collections that reflect Carrier and Company’s own sensibility and love of art. Jesse and Mara reflected on many of the show-stopping and impactful art pieces that we’ve selected for projects throughout the years as inspiration for this first collection with Soicher Marin. The Open Studio collection celebrates the artist at work and the magical transformations that occur when paint meets canvas. Influenced by countless artists past and present, this collection serves as a well-rounded view into the world of all things Carrier and Company.

Grandeur is an exemplary study of composition that harks back to the Modern Art period of the 20th century. Mine actually arrived with a different frame than what I was expecting from the listing photos, so I was unsure at first. But once I got it leaned up and styled, I completely changed my mind. The frame I received has a softer, more textured look in person that actually works really well with my space and gives it more character. The artwork itself is beautiful — very neutral, calming, and easy to work into a room without overpowering everything else. It has that high-end abstract look that makes a space feel more finished and layered. Packaging was great and everything arrived in perfect condition. Yuki Osada is a well-known CAD designer, graphic artist, and illustrator currently based in the Florida area, she is probably best known for her distinctive Giclee prints, but she is definitely an artist who doesn’t limit herself to one medium, producing prints on everything from pillowcases to greetings cards. With a passion for getting her hands dirty whether, with screen-printing, fashion and reportage illustrations, or pen and ink drawings, Yuki’s work will frequently surprise and delight you in equal measure. In recent times, she has been working to expand her great love for graphic design and typography.
