The Orchid collection illuminates the ethereal spirit of the orchid flower. Evocative of purity, delicacy, femininity, and grace, the white metal version offers a strikingly different appeal than its black counterpart. While the sculpture is just as exuberant and detailed, in white, these flowers take on a unique simplicity. There is a sense of lightness, freshness, and even innocence - each petal seemingly untouched and pure. Orchids naturally emit a sense of sensuality and seductiveness, but in white nickel, it take on a completely different meaning - an element of brightness that I associate with new beginnings. When I think of white orchids, I imagine the purity and sweetness of a newborn child or a newlywed couple at the beginning of their lifelong journey.

The Anemone collection is inspired by anemone flowers, which in some cultures are said to bring good luck and offer protection. The flowers are associated with purity and peace. "For me, there is a beauty and gracefulness inherent in anemones. The curving stems and vibrant blooms are feminine and deeply alluring".

Packaged very well. Beautiful. Be careful with the ornamental leaf at the base. It was resting on the counter top and slightly scrubbed counter when moved, but will not bend to raise so it won't scrub. Luckily, I did not force. I am sure it would have broken.. Cynthia. The Butterfly Ginkgo collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo", which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant. Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with hand-etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of the handcrafted process, capturing the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work. "The first time I saw this tree, it literally looked like it had been completely overtaken by butterflies... as if we would all take flight the moment I walked too close or made a noise. The idea that the leaves could evoke the beauty of butterflies was magical to me, like trees that can metamorphose from flora to fauna in the blink of an eye."

Judaica comes from Michael's fascination with objects of ritual. Regardless of the faith with which they are connected, they are imbued with profound energy and meaning that holds a very special place for Michael Aram. "This is such a fun object! It suggests its function through its form. A matzah, matzah plate...I do that a lot and it always strikes me with such a sense of whimsy and surprise. The surface texture of the matzah, when it is interpreted in cast metal, also creates an unexpected beauty. I love that it comes with a bag for hiding so it creates a ritual for kids and a special memory of family events."
