I love the print! It was the colors that I needed and loved. It was a little pricey for the Quality or texture of it. It seems a little flat in texture but not bad. D’Alessandro Léon was the youngest of three brothers. When art competitions were a form of play for the brothers, it later grew to his obsession. D’Alessandro attended the Art Institute of California where he explored mixing mediums as well as digital. He also attended illustration, Sculpting, and Fine Art workshops. After spending long periods of time studying different techniques, D’Alessandro’s art became increasingly influenced by artists from the early 1900s. During D’Alessandro’s studies, he painted many different themes. He painted with restless intensity, often painting from morning until night. D’Alessandro was able to indulge his earliest artistic preferences for people, nature, architecture, and landscapes in his illustration and personal pieces.

An organic and instinctual painter, Artist Sarah Stockstill’s process relies on a foundation of several layers of texture that is applied and sanded back to get a smooth surface that lets her most immediate marks shine on the surface. Responding to color and forms, she follows as led. Sometimes into a deep horizon with traces of landscape, an organic jungle of pattern, a human figure, and every now and then an animal with an ethereal mystique. Sometimes the layering is broad, covering the entire canvas, and sometimes it is minute, focusing and embellishing a possible overlooked element of the painting which in turn becomes the center of interest. Most always layers are created and taken away, leaving small traces whose threads become more important for doing so.
