Inspired by a 19th-century Kalamkari block print in Zoffany's archive the Mughal Menagerie is abundant in design riches. An intricate decorative border frames all manner of animals: Peacocks elephants squirrels and goats sit on an opulent gold ground using traditional and digital printing methods. The indigo/madder is set on an opulent gold ground which uses a combined printing and digital technique to create an especially vivid red of this madder colorway. Mural on a roll, panels with space between each panel for trimming.

The hand-knotted Jinsen collection features a fresh interpretation of vintage Turkish textile design, blending classic patterning with modern color. The Afri rug showcases a rich palette of pink, blue, aqua, and gold with distinct dye-lot variation for added depth. Growing up in a creative household, Peyton was always encouraged to try her hand at all different mediums and became inspired to bring happiness to the world with her work. With her background in mixed media art, Peyton was accepted to the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Once she graduated, she pursued her dream of becoming a full-time artist. Achieved through the technique of pate-de-verre and twice-firing, this design is one of the most challenging pieces because the petals are large and layered, and each step in the process needs extra effort to secure. For example, in the refining wax form, every micro inch and subtlety plays its own role in the grand scheme of beauty and they require tens of injection points for liuli ingredients for exact color placement. Because the hibiscus flower is one of only a few that bloom in late fall—when many flowers wilt—the Chinese have long since admired the survivor for its conviction. As if guided by the chilling autumn draft, the petals of this flower remain uplifted—fearlessly radiating its colors when all others have faded. And for that, the glass hibiscus flower immortalizes the flower’s beauty, a quality of resilience and courage. View the self through flowers, view the world through a vase. Through the noble hibiscus, we are shown the will of our convictions.

The “Flaming Parrot” is a particularly vibrant subspecies of the tulip family. Drawing upon this curious flower as inspiration, this crystal art piece combines two separate parts (flower and stalk) to create a seamless circular flow. They are made separately and fired at different temperatures, before finally being joined together in one kiln. The artwork captures the perfect moment of a flower billowing in a gentle spring breeze, as if in a mesmerizing dance of passion.
