It shares a number of qualities with its namesake: it is imposing, bold, and striking. The form was inspired in part by the idea of melting wax. The curve is such an organic one, it is almost as if a classic candlestick has begun to melt. There is something seductive about the form, with its dynamic spiraling shape and stainless steel exterior. The mirrored surface catches and reflects the light with flair.

In keeping with the designer’s signature mixing of materials, the small elephants are made of solid oak and fit like a puzzle piece into the original’s polished stainless steel form. Häberli is known for his combinations; they are slightly unexpected, but always harmonious. The original Moneyphant used clean lines to create a shape that was instantly recognizable by any generation. The gentle curves of the mirror bowl were initially inspired by the natural forms of cherry blossom petals. In 2010, Møller teamed up with his great-grandchild to come up with this sleek piggybank. The Moneyphant is a wonderful gift and a great way to teach a young person about saving up money. This is a stunning piece and very well made. It works best with tapered rather than colonial candles. The only issue I have is that it doesn't catch the wax.
