Combining the clean, unadorned lines of the international modernists with organic and geometric forms, the Catalina Collection is suggestive of the works of America's mid-century modern designers. The years following WWII were a time of uncertainty but also of great hope and progress. Designs of the period reflected that sense of hope and the promise of an ideal future. In our current period, one finds comfort and nostalgia in Catalina's retro-modern shapes and sensibilities. The Catalina collection is crafted in solid American black walnut or cherry.

With its soft contemporary design, the Sloane 2 Drawer 26.875" W Solid Wood Chest will bring comfort, class, and style to your home.

These side tables go with the set, and they are very deep drawers. I find them to be too large both in size and drawer depth for a side table, especially when balancing two on either side of the Sloane bed. I think that's more an interior design consideration on my side, although the depth is good enough to store extra blankets, maybe winter clothes. Small items not so practical. If I could move them elsewhere in my room I would but I don't have the space. They are very beautiful though and the drawers slide smoothly, I would still recommend them.. Anonymous. Sun Sep 27 2026

Beautiful piece! We are more than happy with our purchase of this buffet. The craftsmanship is of the highest quality, and it was truly worth the wait. In addition to our satisfaction with the purchase, they also included a very nice felt silver storage tray in the top drawer. An unexpected touch that was impressive.. Dena. Purcellville, VA. Beautiful wood and finish. Very well built. Great selection of boards for very appealing grain patterns. Expensive, but once you get it, you'll forget all about the price. Whoever gets this when I die will be very happy - ha ha ha.. Anonymous. Denver, CO. Fri Jul 19 2024

Beautiful and Extremely Artistic Vintage Scandinavian Ege Art Line Robert Jacobsen Rug, Circa Date: Mid. 20th Century. Artist Robert Jacobsen is best known for his abstract paintings and sculptural art. As part of the modernist movement, his artwork creates a new definition of self expression. It focuses on the emotion and the creative process as much as the art itself. This vintage Scandinavian Ege art line rug appears to be a Jackson Pollock like paint splatter art work, which explains the method used by Jacobsen to create his abstracts. This specific vintage rug was produced in 1988 by Axminster Ege, a leading Scandinavian carpet.

For those who love Scandinavian and even Bauhaus deign, this vintage rug from Scandinavia would be quite the exciting find. This comely vintage carpet features a diagonal grid pattern, made up of a series of fine brown lines, with some of the negative space, Mondrian-esque, full of color.

Verner Panton's innovative approach to artistry defined midcentury design. This vibrant textile is a Panton pattern known as Quadrat, sometimes spelled Kvadrat. It simply means "square." This pattern was popular from 1969 through 1974, and it became a part of several Panton ensembles and collections, including the popular Mira X series.
