The Cobra candlestick brings a dramatic twist to your interior and your lighting. Its strong curves give an impression of movement and attitude. This candlestick is classic in its imposing silver form but witty because of its dramatic swerving body. The way it rises almost seems gravity-defying. It shares a number of qualities with its namesake: it is imposing, bold, and striking. The form was inspired in part by the idea of melting wax. The curve is such an organic one, it is almost as if a classic candlestick has begun to melt. There is something seductive about the form, with its dynamic spiraling shape and stainless steel exterior. The mirrored surface catches and reflects the light with flair.

This is a stunning piece and very well made. It works best with tapered rather than colonial candles. The only issue I have is that it doesn't catch the wax. Hold a Champagne bottle at an angle of approximately 20 degrees and slide the blunt side of the Indulgence saber along the body of the bottle toward the neck. As the blade hits the lip, the force breaks the glass and separates the collar and cork from the neck of the bottle. That is how to mark a celebration, and open a bottle! The experienced sommelier can open a bottle with little loss of Champagne. However, we advise you to allow a small flow to wash away any loose shards of glass that may be adhering to the neck. The first glass poured should also be checked for small glass shards. The Indulgence Champagne saber is made out of mirror-polished stainless steel. Its blade is completely blunt, it is the impact of the saber that opens the bottle, not the sharpness.

The combination of natural materials and shiny steel, along with the organic shape inspired by nature are all hallmark characteristics of a Henning Koppel design. His original version of this beautiful bonbonniere - or sweet box - was in dark wood and silver but the paler oak and stainless steel update give this a more contemporary aspect. Henning Koppel was one of the most prolific Georg Jensen designers and his work still resonates today with his instinctive understanding of form and function. Elegant, understated, and organic, his products typify Scandinavian design. The base of the bonbonniere is carved from solid oak and the top from mirror-polished steel. A beautiful way to store any small treasures, the box makes a thoughtful and stylish gift.

Minimalist, sculptural and contemporary, this beautifully proportioned stainless steel vase is understated enough not to fight visually with the flowers placed in it but strong enough to have a presence when empty, perhaps grouped with others of varying sizes. Moreover, the mirror-like shiny surface reflects back the colors in a room to give an additional decorative aspect. One of Georg Jensen’s most highly-regarded collaborators, Henning Koppel’s work was both elegant and practical. His vases, pitchers, clocks, and lamps have stood the test of time and continue to inspire the next generation of designers.
