I received this bench on June 3, 2023. My husband and I worked together to construct it. I was very disappointed to find in the instructions that it is to be constructed with small dowel pegs. No screws are included. The instructions tell u that if a dowel breaks off while u are using a rubber mallet to hammer it in then u need to use a 1/8 drill bit to drill that one out and insert another one. I would have rather the manufacturer design this bench with screws as part of the construction which would have provided more strength and stability. However, we decided to give it a try and we began to construct it. Several dowels broke and I had to do as the instructions noted. It seems to be fairly tight together at this point but I will be monitoring it as time goes by. I applied a coat of Teak Oil to it and it brings out the beautiful grains and color. I love these stones. This is my second order. However, while the first delivery was perfect (I was standing right there) the second was not. The pallet was left directly in front of my open garage door. The other garage door already had yard things there so, to me, it made sense to leave them there instead of blocking the open side. I obviously can lift the pallet by myself so I had to the time to move them so I could get into my garage!!!!
