As a G.C., I ordered Shaws Shaker Single Bowl Apron Front 33” kitchen sink in White for a client. Ordering online through Wayfair was straightforward and without issue. I price shopped before ordering as my professional preference is to work with local businesses to source products. However, for this product, local kitchen & bath showrooms that were Rohl vendors did not carry the Shaws line requiring the extra step of submitting a PO directly to House of Rohl, significantly adding to lead time. Local showrooms offered competitive pricing to Wayfair, but I had to pay for additional shipping costs associated with the PO and therefore, Wayfair offered this product (in stock) and at the most competitive price. Because the fireclay dimension can vary it is best to allow for minimum cabinet space. The classic apron boasts a full height to make an impression. The sink comes with an included bottom grid and basket strainer drain. Elegant lines taper slightly from the top to the bottom of the basin. There are many benefits to fireclay. Its glazed surface inhibits bacterial growth more than stainless steel. Due to the firing process, dimensions are nominal and may vary to actual up to 0.25". A custom cabinet is required to support the weight of this sink. A note about fireclay: small cracks will appear on the unglazed underside of the sink, these are cosmetic only and have no impact on the performance of the sink.
