This field tile is unique, with its own original color balance. It is a fine-grained stone, with no evidence of crystals.

I have 740 sq ft of this tile in my kitchen dining, and entry that was installed 20 years ago. Perigold was the only place I found online that even had the same 16x16 polished slate in copper. The tile is gorgeous! My one issue is that the sample I received did not have imperfections but then when I received the 75 square feet of tile there were 35% had an aging look perhaps that I don’t love. We tried to intermingle these ones so they are not as noticeable. Purchased 2 boxes (20 pcs) 12x12 copper slate tiles. 2 tiles fell apart on first handling. 5 tiles were warped so badly that the backs rocked 1/2" - 3/4" against a flat surface. 4 had dramatic differences in thickness making them tricky to blend. I used a diamond scarfing disc on my variable speed orbital grinder to adequately flatten the backs of the warped tiles so it'll work out for my backsplash addition.
