In the latest capsule collection, Annie's friend and collaborator Bunny Williams was inspired by the unique geometric Kuba weaving of central Africa. The sacred Kuba designs are mathematical and rhythmic in vegetable-dyed earth tones and evolved from a number of techniques featuring flat weaving and cut pile, with patchwork, embroidery, and appliqué. The Cassia dhurrie weave rug has a balanced block motif woven onto alternating rectangles. Hard-working jute fiber is sophisticated and practical, especially for high-traffic areas.

This beautiful handwoven thick shag rug is made from 100% New Zealand wool, using mill spun yarns. Made in India, the yarn is locally dyed in the traditional vat dying method. Before the first wash, the back of each rug is mildly burnt with hand-held flame emitting stoves. The rugs are given two rounds of rigorous washing, to provide the softest comfort underfoot. The finishing process includes hand shearing, with a unique and exaggerated one-sided tassel fringe. Each tassel is twisted and rolled by hand into bunches with a knot tied at each end, for a unique hand-crafted appeal.

Searching for the right rug for my home office and came across this one which I liked for the natural fibers and muted green tones. The design is classic and I liked that it picked up on some colors in art in the room. I also liked that its soft green contrasted with built in furniture that is brighter. With a reading couch it will all work. Delivery was quick and it was well packaged which I appreciated bc the day of delivery, it was raining heavily. My dislike is that it is thinner than I thought. I think this will be offset by a rug pad I’ll put in. I’m not sure how it will hold up to vacuuming which I do a lot with my dog. But he loved the feels of it immediately.. Sadaf. Englewood. I had ordered this rug in the runner size for a different client. It is a lovely neutral pattern and the pattern has. A “quiet visual read” from a distance. It also can be used in most style settings, including: transitional, modern and transitional. The only negatives are that I found the larger size to be less substantial than the one I purchased earlier, but that was over 2 years ago, so it’s possible their standards have changed. Maija Isola's Isot Kivet (stones) design builds on circles cut with scissors. The pattern was most likely inspired by the big rough-edged stones that were manually cleared from the designer's atelier home's grounds.
