Backrest is low profile above counter height and armrest is 2" below counter so this chair tucks under and becomes unobstrusive. Fabric is durable. Purchased as open box but still shocking to see how this was returned and re-sold. One chair has noticeable scuffs on the armrest and was re-shipped without any quality control inside a badly damaged box and purposefully destroyed packaging materials including forcefully smashed pieces of wooden pallet. The second chair came in perfect condition and extremely well-packaged, so whomever returned the first chair made an wantonly violent effort to damage a beautifully made piece. The dining chairs are attractive and sturdy. The table height, relative to the chairs, could have been three inches shorter. I plan to replace the 2.5” cushions with 3.5 cushions to help alleviate that problem. I will use the 2.5” cushions that the set came with to use as bolster cushions for my young grandchildren. The table legs are a bit on the thin side to support such a tall piece. Love the stool. Very sturdy and not likely to tip over but not so heavy you can’t move. Good feet for tile. Not wobbly. 4 stars instead of 5 as it looks more like painted bronze than antiqued brass.
