The collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree, the Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo", which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings, gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant. Executed at the highest level of handcraftsmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass with hand-etched cocoon-shaped vessels. The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of the handcrafted process, capturing the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work. “The first time I saw this tree, it literally looked like it had been completely overtaken by butterflies... as if they would all take flight the moment I walked too close or made a noise. The idea that the leaves could evoke the beauty of butterflies was magical to me, like trees that can metamorphose from flora to fauna in the blink of an eye.”

With baroque curves and decorative feet, this pewter group has the look of a treasured antique tea set. The pieces are cast in pewter and carefully welded and polished for a seamless appearance. The pump dispenser includes a custom-fitted pump top of solid pewter.

While it is very expensive, it is a beautiful piece. My bathroom is lined with Lemurian granite walls. The faucet , and other hardware are polished nickel. I bought the wastebasket as well as the soap dispenser. They do keep with the expensive and elegant look of the bathroom. My only concern is that the stem of the soap dispenser is very short. CALLAS, Tissue Box, Square Straight, Lacquered Eggshell.

The soap pump and tissue box were just thrown in a box and shipped. No interior packing. The soap dispenser actually came out of its individual box and were lying loose. The pump also could not fit together as the hole for the container was black with plastic flash. Poorly made. Definitely not worth the money.
