It's very, very, very light / pale blue. The lamp is so pale that from a distance, my husband thought it was gray. Sometimes it looks dull white or gray instead of light blue, which is why i gave it 4 stars. In the right light you can see blue. I am a lover of beautiful dishware but after a few sets being beautiful and broken by my husband and kids I decided to try these. They are heavy and most people can't even tell they are melamine - we were entertaining the other day and a mom asked if I had any paper plates for her kids because she didn't want them to break my beautiful plates. 5 stars!
