Following his interest in tradition and good food, Virgil Abloh designed Conversational Objects as "toolsets for the dining table". With its garage-inspired design, the Conversational Objects 16-piece cutlery set and cutlery holder are meant to encourage conversation and conviviality at the dining table. This set, produced in matt-finish stainless steel, is paired with a cutlery holder, with a similarly opaque finish to resemble a threaded bolt.

The "Parisienne" cocktail shaker is reinterpreted by Giulio Iacchetti, defining a new and surprising standard for ergonomics. Following the typical minimalist approach that features in all Jasper Morrison's work, this design is an attempt to reduce the "cutlery-object" to its barest essence, its purest and most customary form and what might tentatively be called its definitive form, and deliberately stripped of all stylistic value and - perhaps precisely because of this - recognizable as Morrison's work.

The 9091 kettle has a melodic whistle made of brass in a shape that has never been seen before and consists of two small vents in which the tuners that reproduce the notes mi and si are inserted. Richard Sapper created this kettle inspired by a childhood remembrance, the poetic sound of boats' sirens at the River Rhine: This is because the melody that accompanies the vapor outlet must be pleasant and not anxious like the whistle of boilers. This induction kettle is a polysensory object that will not interrupt an enjoyable break with a whistle but with a captivating melody.
This is a very beautiful looking kettle, except for the bottom connection to the base should have been a different material Because one mistake with the flame to high it started melting. Can that be correct. Thank you…. Roxanne. Brooklyn, NY. Wed Apr 05 2023

Over the years, the Dry model has opened up the road for us and various other cutlery sets, though it has always remained well up among the leaders.

For collectors of Alessandro Mendini and of his quick-change corkscrews: Alessandro M. Galla Placidia, embellished by Mendini’s historic decoration that enhances its delicate design. The attraction of the lights, colors, and mosaic vaults of the small mausoleum in Ravenna dedicated to the Roman empress Galla Placidia has inspired this iridescent play of shapes and colors, striking for the rigor of its geometries in contrast to its vivid and dreamy hues.

Dressed, created by the designer Marcel Wanders, is a collection characterized by delicate decoration, hidden in the less visible parts of the objects. The product and presented for the first time to the public at the "La Tavola apparecchiata" ("The set table") exhibition at the WW's exhibition space in Neustifgasse 32 in Vienna, this cutlery was produced by hand in silver and silver plate until 1910-12. The service, which was in dotazione anche al Cabaret Fledermaus, fully reflects the search for functionality combined with extreme formal elegance and refined working of materials that are so typical of the Wiener Werkstatt. And if some contemporaries had reservations on the practicality of some of the pieces (the transversal concavity of the tablespoon was a controversial point), these were quickly dispelled by those who actually used them. Made in 18/10 stainless steel, the cutlery was reissued by Alessi in 2000.

The cutlery set was designed by the English architect David Chipperfield. Attention to continuity of form makes the grip soft and the design startling, despite its apparent simplicity.

Richly deserving of the title of iconic, this masterpiece of mid-century Scandinavian design looks as contemporary now as when created in 1952. The stainless steel water pitcher retains the elegant lines and minimal detailing of the original along with the beautiful mirror-polished finish. It is a truly timeless classic. Henning Koppel’s name is synonymous with the very best of Danish modernism and his love for natural shapes, clean lines and functionalism still resonates today. Inspired by the double leaves of the Ginkgo Biloba that mimic a butterfly’s wings, this handcrafted treasure is rendered in a sophisticated palette of white enamel and hand-textured stainless steel. The removable lid features natural and oxidized brass elements with hand-etched cocoon-shaped vessels, embodying a lyrical narrative of nature about to take flight. A tour de force of traditional Indian craft, the silver and gold tones reflect the "perfectly imperfect" beauty of the handmade process.
