This ceiling light is one of my favorite pieces in our bathroom renovation! We were trying to bridge a transitional style, including a modern frameless shower paired with classic architectural details from our very old home. This fixture ended up being the piece that pulls everything together. The antique gold finish is beautifully done, it’s not too shiny, not too yellow, and definitely not the brassy tone that can cheapen a space. It has a muted, refined look that works with both our warm wood accents and the polished nickel hardware.
The opaque glass shades are a huge plus. They obscure the bulbs, which eliminates glare, but they still allow plenty of light to fill the room. It serves as both our main room light and our shower light, and even with that responsibility it never feels harsh. We rely on sconces for task lighting, so this fixture provides the overall illumination and ambient glow. We also have a slightly lower than standard 8 feet ceiling, and this still feels airy and roomy because it doesn’t hang too low or overwhelm the space.
The quality is excellent - the fixture feels substantial, the finish is even, and the glass shades are thicker and nicer than expected. It’s interesting yet without drama and we always get compliments from guests. Even our contractor commented on how well made it is and how he liked the style. Installation was simple, the mounting plate lined up perfectly, and the fixture sat flush without any wobble. It arrived packaged really securely with no defects or scratches.
