Born in La Spezia in 1954, Stefano, as an architect and designer, was taught by Buti at Florence University. In the early 1980s, he founded the King-Kong production group along with Guido Venturini. A technical designer par excellence, he has industrial design in his DNA and a capacity to understand public sentiment like no other designer mentioned in this catalog. His projects began with the Girotondo (1989, designed by Guido Venturini) and the first transparent plastic objects from the Family Follows Fiction series (1993). There is a vast number of his items in the Officina Alessi, Alessi, and A di Alessi catalogs.

Lorenza Bozzoli was born in Milan. She studied art at Brera where she qualified in the 80'. She participated in many exhibitions in Italy (Triennale MI) and abroad (Cooper Hewitt NY) and many others. Winner of EESC European Award for Excellent Sustainable Design 2013 with Fedro chair for Dedon. She also taught to integrate trends into creative strategy at the IED ( Istituto Europeo di Design) and still lives and works in Milano in Foro Buonaparte 54. Gabriele Chiave was born to diplomat parents in Metz in 1978, Gabriele Chiave knows no boundaries. He lived in many cities and countries. These diverse resident experiences enable him to bring a global perspective to design like no other. He spent significant time at Marc Sadler studio and working with prestigious Italian brands such as Alessi. He has two children, he is a photographer and a keen pianist. Köbi Wiesendanger, Swiss, was born in Zug. He studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule, Zurich. He has worked as an art director. He opened his studio, working on the design and creative consultancy in the areas of furnishing, fashion, and communications. He also works as an illustrator and creator of characters, above all in Italy and Japan. With his wife, he formed the company Avant de Dormir. Some of his design works have been exhibited in museums, under the direction of Philippe Starck and Jean Nouvel. He likes being a painter.

Love the look and the quality of workmanship. In fact I ordered a second pair for a family Christmas gift. But I have two problems : first, there are no obvious markings on the boxes to distinguish the salt mill ( with ceramic grinder) from the pepper mill ( stainless grinder). Second, I could not figure out how to open and load the grinders. It appears that a Phillips screwdriver may be required to open.
