Here's how it works: Simply fill the bag and close with the practical leak-proof zipper. Dock the vacuum pump onto the bag valve and at the push of a button extract the air in mere seconds. It stops automatically once a sufficient vacuum has been obtained. Then simply press the push button in the middle of the red silicone valve on the bag to seal it securely. Aromas and vitamins are locked in and food stays fresh up to five times longer!

At first I was a bit disappointed the large bags only came 3 in a pack. As I expected them to be the same size as large ziploc bags. But these are huge. I don’t think I would ever have an instance where I would need more than 3 in use ever.

Primary reason I bought this fresh and save system was to use the vaccum seal bags for sous vide cooking. I used one bag for a roast, washed it by hand and attempted a second sous vide. The bag ripped and my sous vide leaked. Waste of a nice piece of meat.
