In matte black, this thing looks positively sinister on my countertop. An homage to traditional Bauhaus design. German engineering; so, of course, It makes perfect toast!

Worked for four days and stopped functioning. Tried different settings and outlets with no luck. Based on retail price, each piece of toast generated prior to malfunction cost over $60.00.

I've owned this unit a little more than a month and it has spontaneously melted. I kid you not - this is beyond belief. Not sure how I can get this replaced.

We purchased this 4 slice toaster in silver. It is a snazzy looking appliance and we all love the look. It toasts very evenly and nicely. The controls are smooth and easy. We haven't used the defrost or warm features yet, but like the idea of these features. One thing to note, be sure to follow the 'before use' instructions regarding burning off the dust and chemicals, but consider doing this outside. We turned both sides to the highest setting and toasted with no food. Each time there was a very strong chemical smell and set off our smoke alarm. The odor went away after the second time. We are very happy with our purchase and hope to enjoy it many years.
