The container is expensive, especially for a plastic container. I have to REALLY tighten the lid to get a decent seal. The lid does not have a rubber gasket and often leaks. I feel like it's a rip-off.

I have been a customer of Vitamix for many years, and have always appreciated their stellar quality products. However, this is an exception. The lid is welded onto the jar. I've had several other people attempt to open it to no avail.
