Collectors usually start with one ornament; this box starts with four. The Ryanne Assorted Ornaments - Set of 4 gather four hand painted scenes onto glass, all of them drawn from the childhood memories maestro artisan Alessandro Taddei has been painting since the collection began, back to the stories his mother read him about Babbo Natale, Italy's Santa Claus. Hang them together on one branch and they read as a little sequence; scatter them through the tree and they turn up one at a time as you pass. Because each is painted by hand in Italy, the brushwork shifts slightly from ornament to ornament. Give the set to someone new to the collection, or add four at once to a tree that has been growing for years.
