Blue and white is the oldest conversation in ceramics, and this ornament joins it in glass rather than porcelain. Delicate flowers are hand painted one piece at a time across the Ornaments Blue and White Flowers Ornament, giving a tree the serene, collected look of a cabinet of blue and white china without any of the weight. The glass is light enough to hang near the tips of the branches, where the painted detail actually catches the light. Made for decorative use, it is a handmade Italian Christmas ornament that reads as traditional without reading as fussy, and it mixes easily with metallics or with plain greenery. Hang several together, or give one to a host with an eye for chinoiserie.
