In Marostica, in Italy's Veneto region, a glassworks that has been in business for more than fifty years still shapes each piece by mouth, one at a time. That is where the Nuovo Stripe Ornament begins: a gather of borosilicate glass, blown, then finished with the painterly stripes that run down every piece in the collection. Designed by Stefano Parise, it is a handmade Italian glass ornament with enough weight and presence to catch the light from a tree branch rather than disappear into it. Hang it among older family ornaments or start a new set, and tuck a few into a box at the end of the season for the people who always notice what is on your tree.
