The mats are beautiful however the side you place on the tablecloth or table top the is so slippery the plate and mat actual slip around

Disappointed. Wasn’t what I expected. Too casual for a dining room table.

I have a beautiful wood French dining table which I want to protect so I regularly use various placements. I purchased milky brown (called taupe in my days) because the color is understated and yields the spotlight to the plates and ultimately to the food on the plates. It goes perfectly with my black dinnerware set as well as with my sage set. You can play up (entertaining guests) or play down (everyday casual) with the type of napkins you use and the centerpiece (conversation piece) on the table. The placemats clean easily which is the most important factor for me. The only negative part is the initial smell which does get better with use. I also purchased a burgundy set of 6 (3 sets of 2) for autumn and the holidays.--no need to iron a table cloth now!

I wanted something that I could wipe off but not look cheap, and these fit the bill. They lie very flat and don’t move around in use, and they have a substantial feel. I liked the oval shape as opposed to the usual square corners as well. The only potential negative concerns colors, the bugaboo of online ordering. I bought three shades: green, mint, and dark blue. I checked the colors on various sites before buying and they were all consistent from site to site. But the online shades for two of these are quite a bit different than the products themselves. Online, the “green" option looks very intensely green/blue or teal, with a lot of black for depth, but the real mat was closer to grass green without a trace of blue, and less intense - not a bad color, but not what I was expecting. The “mint" version is actually what I’d call closer to sage, but with a bit more yellow than most sages, which I expect to be predominantly gray/green. But calling it light olive isn’t right either - the product doesn’t’ have the tan cast I’d expect for an olive. The name “mint” was throwing me off when I ordered (online it didn’t look anything like the mint ice cream color I’d expect with that name), but compared to the online shade shown, the product itself was also lighter in intensity and with yet more yellow.. The dark blue shade I ordered online, on the other hand, seemed pretty close to the actual product color.

great color, size and thinkness, perfect for the my marble table. Quality is great, quick shipping and the logo is not so notasable as it looks on the photo. Super happy with these.
