Disappointed. Wasn’t what I expected. Too casual for a dining room table.

I have a beautiful wood French dining table which I want to protect so I regularly use various placements. I purchased milky brown (called taupe in my days) because the color is understated and yields the spotlight to the plates and ultimately to the food on the plates. It goes perfectly with my black dinnerware set as well as with my sage set. You can play up (entertaining guests) or play down (everyday casual) with the type of napkins you use and the centerpiece (conversation piece) on the table. The placemats clean easily which is the most important factor for me. The only negative part is the initial smell which does get better with use. I also purchased a burgundy set of 6 (3 sets of 2) for autumn and the holidays.--no need to iron a table cloth now!

Loved these for my recent dinner party! Just had to lay a heavy book on them for like an hour to flatten out from shipping, but did great!
