I bought this for a friend who collects Nutcrackers. I was so excited, but when she opened her gift, the bottom, which is plastic, was not attached and was broken into several pieces, as shown in the photo. They are sending her a new bottom, but she will have to glue it on herself. This is not the quality I expected from a Spode piece.

For the price the detail I expected is lacking.One year later the liquid has yellowed and is no longer clear.

Purchased as a gift for someone who loves snowglobes and is a Russian immigrant. So "The Nutcracker" music is perfect and the well constructed snowglobe should bring joy for many years.

I get my granddaughter a snow globe every year for Christmas and she really like this one. It was so pretty.
