The chest looked beautiful... until we opened the lid and it split. It’s completely destroyed. I’m at a loss for words.

The deck box itself is perfect for our outdoor space, but I am taking off a star because the gas spring hinges were defective. Wayfair was only able to send us an entire new unit as the kit containing hardware and hinges are unavailable. The second box also contains defective springs! Solution I found gas spring hinges online for about 15.00, and they installed and work perfectly.

So cheaply made the first time I closed the lid the screws came out of the lid. The compression hinges are terrible. If it wasn't such a hassle to send back I would have.
