The top of these is bowed upward making it impossible to use as a table.

I like it so much that I bought a rectangle table.

Thought this was a table but it is padded on top. It seems to be a better footrest than a side table since the top is somewhat curved and not flat.

Update: Now that I have used it, I say it's Just OK. The top is not flat, so you can't put a glass of water or any other type of beverage. Definitely not a bottle. It has a curve to it. Really unfortunate. Haven't used it yet, but it looks like it will work well.
