If you are going to insert the fireplace into the wall, you NEED to buy this frame. I didn't know that and it cost me extra money because I had to order it after the installation. I have requested Wayfair to waive the cost of the frame because of the extra contractor visit to install the frame after the fact. Be careful if you are planning a fireplace. Again, the customer comes up short. Nice quality, but description is deceiving in regard to its need.

We got this to go around the Ayame 35" Electric fireplace insert and it was PERFECT to cover the space between the insert and our brick fireplace.

I had to return my fireplace and am waiting on a credit to my account. The item was too small for my space and I decided to go with gas logs instead. They picked it up 2 weeks ago but so far no refund yet They did send me the return label when I requested so I am hopeful this will be resolved as it should

The directions were terrible - I called and the woman while kind could not help. She asked if I had looked for videos online. I had, and there were none with your model. I followed the directions when building the wood box - making sure that I had the correct model, only to find out that when it came to placing the fireplace in the surround it was not the correct size. Really disappointed. For what I paid, I expected things to be correct.
